20th Century Fox have today confirmed that a new human star will join the lead cast of Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes next year. Set fifteen years after the events of 2011's hit fantasy blockbuster Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, this second instalment in the prequel franchise will focus on ape leader Caesar attempting to maintain control of his primate army while a small group of surviving humans in New York make a startling discovery of the rest of humankind's depletion. Gary Oldman will apparently play the leader of this human colony in NYC, joining Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke and The Lord Of The Rings' Andy Serkis at the head of the cast. It's virtually assured that James Franco won't return, unless there's any video footage for Caesar of his human friend Will to be discovered. Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will break into cinemas worldwide on May 23rd, 2014.
