Paramount Pictures have today confirmed a change in the release date for Star Trek Into Darkness. Originally set for release worldwide on May 17th, this enticing science-fiction film sequel from the mind of JJ Abrams features the crew of the Enterprise returning to Earth in the midst of a disturbing human threat that could very well mean the end of life as we know it. The United States will indeed still be getting the film on the 17th, but we get to wait a whole eight days less than them for what could very well be a genuine Film Of The Year contender. Star Trek Into Darkness hits UK cinemas everywhere on May 9th.
