New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures have this week released the theatrical trailer for their upcoming comedy blockbuster Horrible Bosses 2. Starring Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston and Christoph Waltz (though quite why the latter iconic actor allowed himself to become involved, we'll never know), the long-dreaded follow-up to the mediocre 2011 film Horrible Bosses sees protagonists Dale, Nick and Burt go head-to-head with their vengeful ex-bosses after their plans to start their own businesses go hilariously (well, let's not get ahead of ourselves, eh?) astray.
Enter an array of increasingly contrived set-pieces which are sure to leave viewers the world over cringing at every tedious turn. Much as we try to maintain a sense of optimism when it comes to evaluating upcoming movies such as this one, there's so little evidence in the latest trail (below) of a potent production that it's insanely challenging to find much to praise at this point. The Hangover Part II and (to some extent, at least) Kick-Ass 2 famously subverted our expectations and managed to earn mighty 4* scores here at On-Screen, yet at this rate, it'd take nothing short of a miracle for Sudeikis and company to match their unexpectedly illustrious generic predecessors.
Horrible Bosses 2 unleashes a business campaign like no other in cinemas worldwide this November 26th.
