Veronica Corningstone will be back for the cult sequel!There's plenty of anticipation beginning to surround Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the sequel to 2004's cult hit starring Will Ferrell, in the build-up to its upcoming release. Paramount Pictures have now confirmed that Christina Applegate will reprise her role as co-anchor Veronica Corningstone in the follow-up. Corningstone was in essence a narrative foil to Ferrell's cocky news anchor Ron Burgendy, and Applegate gleefully took the role of this sassy and beautiful 'adversary' of sorts in her stride in the original. It'll be great to see the pair of now-legendary Hollywood stars back together in action for another dose of comedy greatness, especially as the film's writers have teased that there'll be a custody battle between the presumably divorced couple involved! Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues lands in 2013, and you can catch the new trailer below...
