How To Get The Next Wii Right

The Wii has been a major success...with casual gamers. From Wii Sports to Just Dance, from Carnival Funfair Games to Mario Party, Nintendo's latest home console has been party-centric ever since its debut in 2006, and that has cost it infinite sales as its developer left behind ageless franchises that previously received regular instalments like The Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong (yes, both series have one or two entries now, but only at what seems to be the end of the console's lifespan). So, if Nintendo are listening and hope to right some wrongs with the Wii 2, here are my tips:

1. DON'T CALL IT THE WII 2- Or the Poo, for that matter. Moving on...
2. GET ON WITH THE CORE FRANCHISES EARLY- Why on Earth have we only had two Mario games, two Metroid releases and two Zelda titles? With loads of other franchises, the Wii would have been perfect, but instead Nintendo placed too much attention on its icons and little-to-none on the other favourites.
3. BRING US NEW FRANCHISES TOO- A brand new console should come with great new titles too, right? We've had Red Steel 2, GoldenEye 007 and Epic Mickey- and that's about it. All those entries showed so much potential, yet it's unlikely we'll get sequels anytime soon. Fix it in the next generation, please!
4. FOR THE LOVE OF SANITY, INCLUDE A DVD DRIVE (AND BLU-RAY)- Nuff said.
