The successful BBC religious comedy-drama Rev will return for a third season of new episodes, execs have confirmed today. The show focuses on a British Reverand (played by Tom Hollander) dealing with the challenges and ethical issues of modern society, and as stereotypical and archetypal as that premise might sound, the comedy behind the programme each week has managed to keep things fresh so far. Hollander is set to return to the titular role once again, with the rest of the cast likely to renew their contracts from the original two-season contract in the months leading up to the Autumn production commencement. It'll be a wait until Episode One airs, but at least fans can sleep safe knowing that their favourite vicar will be back for more sermons! Rev returns to BBC2 in 2014.
