WiiU Boxart Designs Revealed?

Is this what the first next-gen cover art looks like?
There's but a few months now until the Nintendo WiiU console lands in games retailers everywhere, kicking off the next-generation of video game hardware in style with loads of great releases. Already confirmed for release with the console are Mass Effect 3, FIFA 13 and Madden NFL 13, with titles such as The Avengers: Battle For Earth, Nintendo Land and Wii Fit U looking like shoo-ins for the launch period as well. Perhaps the most intriguing update on the new hardware's marketing yet has come to us today, as alleged images of the new cover art for WiiU titles have been leaked on Amazon. To the left, you'll see just what it looks like for the Avengers tie-in from Ubisoft, boasting a blue-and-yellow semi-circular ring at the top of the cover akin to what was done with the Nintendo GameCube a few years back. Perhaps the publishers at Nintendo have realised the oddly-shaped 'Wii' header of this console's predecessor made cover art harder to produce, or perhaps they wanted this art to distinguish itself despite the similar console title, or perhaps there was another reason for this altogether. Whatever the justification, it's a great new spin on the design of modern video game covers, boasting a more colourful edge when the white-and-blacks of the 360 and PS3 covers are starting to feel a bit dull. The Nintendo WiiU launches this Winter.
