The Simpsons has always had a clear connection with Christmas time, frequently indulging in feature-length television specials based around the Nativity Story, so "Dude, Where's My Ranch?" is a strange deviation from this. It first aired in April 2003, yet is included on The Simpsons Christmas 2 DVD for Homer writing a somewhat memorable Christmas carol about his hate of Ned Flanders...and that's where the festivities just about end, as the titular family head to a country ranch for a tale of romance between Lisa and a farmhand. This is a classic example of the comedy found in the series, featuring many side-gags akin to those found in Family Guy flashbacks, many of which are dedicated to the insane gun-firing cowboy who runs the ranch. Okay, so there really isn't much to do with Christmas here, but if you're looking for a good laugh you'll find it here!
