Autumn Of Gaming- October

Prepare for the onslaught...October and November are where the Autumn of Gaming hits its real stride, with sequel upon sequel coming our way in the next two months. There really is something for everyone this month, so take a look below to see what you'll want to look out for very soon...
3RD-9TH OCTOBER:
RAGE- RPG fans, take heed: before Skyrim hits, this thrilling post-apocalyptic science fiction world will draw you into its huge story and then prove you with a wealth of consequential choices.
DARK SOULS- Want a challenge? No, really, do you want to die a lot before achieving your objective? This fantasy hack-and-slasher is one of the most difficult video games to hit in a while- recommended for hardcore players only!
JUST DANCE 3- One for the girls, this music-rhythm title is now on both Kinect and Wii. Hooray.
10TH-16TH OCTOBER:
FORZA MOTORSPORT 4- Possibly the most anticipated racer of 2011, Forza 4 lets you race around the Top Gear test track, examine the Halo Warthog and customise your ride till your heart's content- all with Kinect, if you so please!
ACE COMBAT: ASSAULT HORIZON- The latest in the ace flight simulator series, this one sees you fight above a city on the brink of total destruction. Hollywood action blockbuster sequences galore.
SKYLANDERS: SPYRO'S ADVENTURE- Ever wanted to play a kids RPG where you scan in Spyro toys to get new characters with similar abilities? Now's your chance.
SPIDER-MAN: EDGE OF TIME- A spiritual sequel by Beenox to their successful Shattered Dimensions (8/10), I didn't go much on this at GAMEFest, but look forward to seeing if it turns out well.
DEAD RISING 2: OFF THE RECORD- Is it tight of a developer to sell basically exactly the same Dead Rising 2 as last year, with the same location but a different character and plotline...? You'll have to decide for yourself.
17TH-23RD OCTOBER
BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY- For me and many other gamers, this one's the biggie. Arkham City features a host of friends, foes and iconic locations, and I can't wait to see what surprises it has in store for us!
RATCHET & CLANK: ALL 4 ONE- PS3 owners will be happy to get an exclusive in before November's Uncharted 3, however critical reactions to this one have been mixed so far, so keep an eye on reviews before you rush out to get it.
DANCE CENTRAL 2- A new Kinect game!...And it's a sequel to one of the only decent launch titles we got last year. I boo the lack of innovation from Microsoft, but applaud the return of a great rhythm exercise game.
ROCKSMITH- Similar to Guitar Hero, but panned in America, so be very wary!
24TH-30TH OCTOBER
BATTLEFIELD 3- If you aren't waiting for Arkham City, you'll probably be waiting for this- set on an earthquake havoked city, this boasts a big campaign and one of the best multiplayer online modes around.
KINECT SPORTS: SEASON TWO- Another sequel to a Kinect launch title, but again, at least the original was one of the best. Darts, golf, tennis, all the events are here now!
MY POTENTIAL BEST GAME FOR OCTOBER- If you haven't guessed already by my extensive coverage of it throughout the year, I'm seriously psyched for Batman: Arkham City, and can scarcely wait to bring you my full verdict on the game in two weeks and a half's time!
