First John Carter Trailer Released

Walt Disney Pictures are resting a lot of hopes on John Carter, their epic new fantasy movie due to arrive in cinemas next Spring. Following the story of a soldier in the American Civil War who finds himself transported to Mars (yes, really) and forced to fight for his life, the film is adapted from a series of popular magazine serials released in the 1910s to great acclaim. The first trailer for the flick has arrived, and I hope you'll agree that as of now it's looking pretty impressive,boasting great CGI and at least a nostalgically familiar storyline. John Carter hits cinemas March 9th, 2012- also the release date for BioWare's big video game finale Mass Effect 3, so mark your diaries for these two big events!
