Hush up a sec, I'm getting a familiar Call...In a shocking move that'll blow the socks off of precisely nobody in the room, Activision today confirmed that a new Call of Duty game will ship this year in an investors' call (no pun intended with that last word). What with having shipped- deep breath- Call of Duty in 2003, Call of Duty 2 in 2005, Call of Duty 3 in 2006, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007, Call of Duty: World At War in 2008, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009, Call of Duty: Black Ops in 2010 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 last year, you might think that the publisher might lie back and count their fortunes...oh, who am I kidding, with six worldwide acclaimed annual releases in a row, it's absolutely predictable that Activision are not letting this franchise go, let alone be off our screens for more than a year. Seeing as Treyarch are developing this time around, don't be surprised (as if you could, COD's way beyond that now) to see Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in your nearest GAME stores this November.
