Avengers: Black Widow Strikes Announced

Catch the feisty Widow in an Avengers prelude soon after the movie...
Marvel Comics have announced The Avengers: Black Widow Strikes this week for release in the Summer. Set in-between 2010's Iron Man 2 and this year's superhero team-up The Avengers, the graphic novel will show what the character of Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johnasson in both flicks) has been up to since the events of the metallic hero's sequel, with action including espionage thrills as the Widow attempts to tie up the loose ends of the Justin Hammer case. Apparently, the comic is meant to define Johnasson's feisty heroine more than Iron Man 2 did, and while I'd say it might be a little late for that seeing as the film will already have been out for a fortnight here when the comic surfaces, it should still make for an exciting retrospective. The Avengers is out on April 27th, while Black Widow Strikes retails in May.
