This month has been packed with great releases- Gears of War 3, the ultimate multiplayer shooter, Skulduggery Pleasant's latest romp- but only two have really stood out as the best of the bunch: Torchwood's finale The Blood Line and Doctor Who: The Girl Who Waited. Since I awarded 'April 2011: Best Release' to Doctor Who: Day of the Moon, I thought I'd stick with The Blood Line, a thrilling climax to the Miracle Day storyline with plenty of surprises. That we were given near total closure to every character introduced this season really helped Series Four feel well-rounded despite its awkwardly slow pace, and the twists of 'Plan B' and Rex's newfound immortality were more than enough to convince me the Who spin-off needs to continue. Didn't watch the entire season? Go back and watch Episode 10- it's the most satisfying pay off you can imagine!
