The Simpsons Renewed For Two Seasons

Despite recently stating that the show could not run under its current financial model, Fox America has elected to renew The Simpsons for another two seasons. These new runs will mark the twenty fourth and twenty fifth sets of episodes so far, and many critics have predicted the hit comedy could even run to thirty seasons before its climax! Executive producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly: "Our mood is elation- we don't look at this as these will definitely be the last two. We just want to keep fighting and go as long as we can. We really feel this isn't an end but a beginning." The Simpsons returns to Sky1 next Spring.
