Jeremy Renner is back for more high-octane action in 2015!Universal Pictures have today announced the official global release date of their upcoming fifth Bourne film. The latest instalment in the series follows The Bourne Identity (2002), The Bourne Supremacy (2004), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007) and most recently The Bourne Legacy (2012).
What do we know about the project so far? Only one concrete detail- Matt Damon won't be back at the helm of the cast. Instead, Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross will remain the series' renewed central protagonist, although in this instance, the movie's narrative will at least move beyond the events of Ultimatum rather than moving in parallel as Legacy did last year. By adding itself to the Summer of Film 2015, though, this risky project has just given itself yet another mighty challenge.
Bourne 5 infiltrates cinemas worldwide on August 14th, 2015.
