First Merlin Promo Image Arrives

There's just over a month until Merlin returns to our screens (the Doctor Who finale airs on BBC1 on October 1st, so expect Episode 1 to then air the next Saturday), and we've now got a brand new promotional image to get us excited for the new series. Donning the traditional logo of the programme, as well as the new tagline "The Darkest Hour Is Just Before The Dawn", the poster depicts Merlin, Arthur, Guienevere, King Uther and the darker, new-look Morgana, and in the background we can see the haunting face of the man it seems everyone's favourite Boy Wizard (no, the one who isn't Harry Potter) is destined to become. Add to that a ravaged army of Camelot soldiers with the sword of Excalibur laid in the ground near them and we've got a surefire way to make next month feel further away than ever...Merlin returns to BBC One this October.
