Doctor Who Encyclopedia iPhone App Released
Shortly after the release of the brilliantly updated Doctor Who Encyclopaedia, BBC Worldwide have unveiled an innovative new iPad app based around the hardback book. Released for a RRP of £2.99 on the iOS system, the application showcases many of the characters and locations from the sci-fi drama's 2005-2011 run, including Rose Tyler, Amy Pond, the Daleks, the sinister Silence and of course our favourite Time Lord himself, who at present is thought to be dead by the entire universe at the hands of an Impossible Astronaut by Lake Silencio, but who in reality is heading towards 'the fall of the Eleventh' on the Fields of Trenzalore when a terrible, ancient Question is asked. If you want to access files on the Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant eras of the show, it costs an additional fiver, but overall the app is pretty good value for money considering the hardback is priced at a hefty (but worthwhile) £25. The Encyclopaedia app is available now on iTunes.
