Ninja Gaiden 3 To Be WiiU Launch Title

Team Ninja last worked with Nintendo on the relatively successful Wii exclusive Metroid: Other M, but fans of the developer have really wanted to see their Ninja Gaiden franchise appear on a Nintendo console for a while now. Enter Ninja Gaiden 3- a dramatic reinvention of the RPG formula, this sequel is looking like an ace brawl-em-up for 2012, and is currently set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 AND Nintendo WiiU. Yep, you read right, NG3 is going to be a launch title for the next generation console, which is due for release in the third or fourth fiscal quarter next year. Quite how the game will make use of the controller's built-in screen, we don't know yet, but certainly it should provide a unique and innovative take on the characters and gameplay for series veterans, and hopefully an accessible entry point for newcomers too! Ninja Gaiden 3 hits stores for 360/PS3 in Q1 2012, while the WiiU's launch details are set to be revealed at next year's E3 conference in June.
