Sherlock Episode 1 Press Screening Announced
We've been waiting for Steven Moffat's modern-day adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes novels to resurface on our television screens for a while now, and with the announcement that the British Film Institute will be screening Sherlock: A Scandal In Belgravia, the first episode of Season Two, on Monday December 7th it's all but confirmed that the series will be back on BBC One by New Year 2012. The opening episode of three will resolve the big cliffhanger posed in Series One finale The Great Game back in July 2010, and feature Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson (Martin Freeman) on the tail of Miss Irene Adler in a thrilling new case. Tickets for the screening will go on sale this Tuesday; a Question and Answer session with the cast of the episode will take place after the 90-minute showing.
