On-Screen's Two Year Anniversary: March Past

Happy Second Birthday To Our Blog!
Yep, you read right- On-Screen has turned two years old today, set up back on March 14th 2010 and now having produced articles that extensively cover the goings-on in the entertainment industry for your pleasure for twenty four months now. To celebrate, I'm posting a couple of pieces on the best moments for the blog in the past two years, starting with investigating just what we were covering this time last year and in 2010...
MARCH 2010:
As the blog was just starting up, things were quiet at first- in March 2010, we just managed to review Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (9/10), An Education (4.5/5), Alice In Wonderland (3.5/5), Assassin's Creed II: Discovery (6/10), Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing (5/10) and Mass Effect 2 (10/10). While that sounds like a fair chunk of articles, there was barely any news coverage, with a mere hands-on with Just Cause 2 and the revelation of Matt Smith's debut date as Doctor Who on April 3rd. How times have changed...
MARCH 2011:
Our reviews offering had changed dramatically twelve months on, as Glee, Sonic Free Riders, The Biggest Loser: Ulltimate Workout, True Grit, Fanboys, Rango, Christopher And His Kind, Super Street Fighter IV 3D; Pilotwings Resort; Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the Doctor Who Comic Relief specials went under the radar. Things had broadened out significantly in terms of news and features too- Super Mario 3D Land and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time were announced at the Games Developers' Conference; Michael Rosenbaum confirmed he would return as Lex Luthor for the final episodes of Smallville; trailers for Tron: Uprising, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Puss In Boots and Kung Fu Panda 2 surfaced and Charlie Sheen was kicked off Two & A Half Men after his explicit retaliation at Chuck Lorre! It really was a busy month, even in comparison to this one...
MARCH 2012:
And now? Well now, we're right in the middle of what appears to be one of the busiest months of the year! We've provided verdicts on John Carter, Syndicate, Glee and Wanderlust for starters, and there are still big reviews of Dara O'Brian: Craic Dealer, Mass Effect 3, Being Human, The Hunger Games, Iron Man: Extremis, The Ultimates: Super Human and Wrath of the Titans to come. Plus we've had new trailers for Assassin's Creed III, Halo 4, Prometheus, Avengers Assemble, Forza: Horizon and Despicable Me 2 already, and for On-Screen and the entertainment industry as a whole, things look to show no sign of slowing down whatsoever...
Thank you to all you loyal followers of On-Screen. Please continue to spread the word and give me feedback online or elsewhere about the posts, and enjoy the rest of the year with us!
