Agent 007 will stay consistent for at least another four years of his missions.
It's been all-but-officially confirmed this week that Daniel Craig will reprise his role as James Bond for a further two feature films after his appearance in Skyfall later this year. Craig has currently starred in the movies for a total of six years, with Casino Royale having launched back to critical acclaim in 2006 and Quantum Of Solace- well, not so much- in 2008 and his third instalment as the MI6 Agent heading to cinemas next month. From what the reports surrounding Craig's extended contract are saying, it seems that from now on MGM Pictures intend to bring us a new Bond mission every other year, which presumably means that Craig's Agent 007 will appear in a new flick in 2014 and then 2016. After that? Well, the actor will have reached the age of 50 by the time he sees the 2016 entry release, and whether that'll be the time to hang up the mantle for Craig will likely depend on his health, financial status and indeed the new films' critical reception in days to come. For now, we do know that Skyfall blasts into theatres across the UK on October 28th.
