RIP Neil Armstrong (1930-2012)

A tribute to one of the pioneers of the 20th Century, tragically lost to this world as of the past week.

It is with heavy sadness that we today (belatedly) report the death of American astronaut Neil Armstrong, who passed away on August 25th, 2012. Armstrong was a part of the United States' Apollo 11 mission to the Moon in July 1969, acting as one of the promotional frontheads for what would go down as one of the most influential events of the past century, the event which secured America's place at the very front of the States-Communist Space Race of the 60s. Armstrong passed away after an affliction from blocked coronary arteries became too great a challenge to overcome, yet his hugely significant contribution to the history of the human race will never be forgotten. This is a time of great mourning for a great country, but Neil Armstrong will be remembered with the utmost respect and passion from the entire population of this planet forever more. Rest in piece, Neil.
