Bond 24 Gets New Writer

James Bond will return, but with a new screenplay writer on board!
The writers of Skyfall have today confirmed that they will not return to pen the twenty-four instalment in the James Bond film franchise. Neal Purvis and Robert Wade wrote every film for the series since the Pierce Brosnan 1999 flick The World Is Not Enough, so it seems apt that such a ground-breaking instalment in the saga marks an end to their reign as head writers for the series. Who'll be next on board, then? Wade had this to say: "We're very happy to have done five Bond films, I think we've gotten it to a good place. I know that John Logan and Sam Mendes have come up with a plot for another one, which takes the pressure off because these films take up a lot of time. We were going to stop with Quantum, but it's good to go out on a high with Skyfall." The twenty-fourth Bond film is in need of a writer, then- no doubt we'll get confirmation soon as the project moves ahead. 'Bond 24' is set for release in 2014.
