Assassin's Creed III scoops up the Best Release award for October...
I've already sung the praises of Assassin's Creed III in my 10/10 review of the game earlier this month, so this recap will be fairly brief. The reasoning behind the title earning the 'Best Release' award for October 2012 is rather simple- it provides perhaps the most authentic rendition of the American Revolution ever in the history of entertainment. Intermingled with a beautiful time-twisting storyline, strong gameplay expansions on the Creed franchise and a compelling multiplayer component, this new entry in the five-year saga that essentially finishes 'Season One' closes most of the doors we've had opened so far while opening new ones entirely. Connor and Desmond are equally intriuging protagonists to see develop once again, and indeed it'll be great to see if the former Assassin returns in next year's side-story before the inevitable build-up to AC4. Keeping in the present, though, Assassin's Creed III is a big contender for Game Of The Year 2012, and although the competition is stiff, I'm sure we'll remember this game vividly for years and future console generations to come!
