Perhaps the ultimate catch-up tool of video gaming is unmasked...
2K Games have today announced the development of BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year. Compiling the first two BioShock games and all of their DLC packages into one definitive collection, this new package is no doubt intended to be a promotional catch-up product for those gamers who want to see what happened before the upcoming BioShock Infinite. On top of the already-released content, there'll be an in-game museum too that chronicles the in-game and contextual history of the franchise too, which could potentially make this one a Must Buy even for those fans who already own the original products. Odds are that although America are getting a pre-Infinite release for URE, we'll have to wait a little longer, yet all the same for those players who jump in at the new instalment, at least they can get some background info in a cool new way shortly after Infinite launches. BioShock Infinite is now set for release on March 26th, while the Ultimate Rapture Edition is set to debut this Spring.
