There are films galore to go out and see while On-Screen is away, and although your pockets aren't infinitely filled with cash I've at least put some recommendations here as to the best picks of what's coming up:
THOR (OUT NOW)- Marvel have crafted a surprisingly believable fantasy adventure, with Chris Hemsworth doing wonders as the titular Norse hero and added incentive in the form of plot ties to 2012's The Avengers.
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES (OUT MAY 18TH)- Jack is back for a standalone romp featuring Penelope Cruz as shady pirate Angelica and returns from Gibbs, Barbossa and Captain Teague- but can the series stay fresh after four films?
THE HANGOVER: PART II (OUT MAY 26TH)- All eyes are on the return of Alan, Doug and Phil to see whether a sequel to 2009's funniest comedy can surprise enough to be satisfying, but I have a feeling it will.
KUNG FU PANDA 2 (OUT JUNE 2ND)- Another Jack is back, but this time it's Jack Black as the lovable zoo animal who now must face off against the ultimate threat to kung fu- Gary Oldman!
X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (OUT JUNE 2ND)- We all know how bad The Last Stand and Origins: Wolverine were, but perhaps with Kick Ass's Matthew Vaughn directing we'll get what we deserve in this prequel/reboot, an all-out action adventure that looks set to put the X(-cellent) back into the X-Men franchise.
