Final Sarah Jane Episodes To Be Broadcast

With the tragic death of Elisabeth Sladen last month, the BBC has confirmed that no further episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures will be filmed, contrary to tabloid rumours that the show's producers would find a way to write Sladen's character out of the drama for its remaining three episodes of Season Five. It has, however, been announced that the opening three stories of the new series (consisting of six half-hour episodes filmed last Autumn by Sladen, Daniel Anthony and Anji Mohandra) will be broadcast for the first time on CBBC later this year. The Christmas 2010 issue of Doctor Who Magazine revealed that we could expect to see "a new arrival on Bannerman Road; great guest stars including Peter Bowles, Christine Stephen-Daly and James Dreyfus; the mystery of the Man Who Never Was; powerful and heartbreaking stories for Clyde and Rani; fantastic new aliens; Tommy Knight back as Luke in a fully-fledged adventure and the return of a mysterious parrot and his pet Shopkeeper!" Whether all these events were part of the recorded episodes is yet to be confirmed, but we'll have all the details on the broadcast very soon!
