See the first preview of the 2013 science-fiction blockbuster!Paramount Pictures have today released the first teaser trailer for their new science-fiction sequel Star Trek Into Darkness. Penned and directed by JJ Abrams, the follow-up is rumoured to utilise plot elements from the classic Star Trek movie The Wrath Of Khan, but for now what we know for sure is that a hidden foe destroys the Star Fleet of Planet Earth, forcing the SS Enterprise crew to contemplate the most deadly of sacrifices to save humankind. The first teaser features dark looks and explosions aplenty as Benedict Cumberbatch's unnamed antagonist gets ready to wreak havoc and take dangerous revenge upon our heroes. One has to wonder just how tough the stakes are going to get for the Enterprise, and if there's anything 2009's Star Trek showed us, it's to expect the unexpected. Star Trek Into Darkness teleports into cinemas worldwide on May 17th, 2013.
