Angry Birds Trilogy Announced

The birds are back on consoles!
It's incredible to chart the level of success that the iOS/Android game app Angry Birds and its subsequent sequels have had in the space of just a few years. Now teamed up with Activision, developer Rovio has this week announced the Angry Birds Trilogy for retail release later this year. The package will include the original Angry Birds, as well as Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio. There will be Kinect and PS Move support included too, as well as loads of new cutscenes and gameplay segments that have never before been seen on the original app releases. The only real worry is the pricing of the product- Activision love to milk a cash cow, but will people really check this one out if it's anything over a tenner, considering buying the apps barely costs £3 on handheld devices now? We'll have to wait and see if more features are announced (perhaps the release could be expanded to include Angry Birds Space?), yet it hardly seems the most financially beneficial of projects right now. Angry Birds Trilogy will ship on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS this Winter.
