Sherlock Series Three Production Period Revealed

Discover the secrets of when Sherlock heads towards his return...
For me, the second season of Sherlock marked an early landmark moment of 2012, one of the best television series I've seen in a long time (well, short of Who) and a run that boasted perhaps the most irritating and thrilling cliffhanger of all time. Steven Moffat and his team have yet to confirm a definitive broadcast period for the announced Series Three, but star Martin Freeman hasn't been so elusive on new details. Asked at ComicCon when he would return to film Sherlock now that he had finished work on The Hobbit, Freeman has this to say: "We film in January until about April, I think." In this period, the production team would presumably be working on Mark Gatiss' season-opening adaptation of The Adventure Of The Empty House as well as two other ninety-minute episodes. It'll be a tough shoot, but hopefully the fruit of the team's labour will be just as bountiful as its predecessors! Sherlock will likely return in Autumn 2013.
