Stephen King's gory horror film adaptation gets pushed back to Halloween.
Metro Goldwyn-Meyer Studios have today confirmed that their new film adaptation of Stephen King's classic horror novel Carrie has suffered a setback of seven months. Starring Chloe Grace-Moretz (Kick-Ass; Let Me In; Hugo) in its titular role, this remake of the 1974 tale and its 1976 movie adaptation focuses on a young teen who possesses telepathic and possessive powers, only to lose control when her friends and foes turn against her at the High School prom. It's sure to be gratuitious, gory and no doubt terrifying stuff, yet it seems that the film's studio are adamant that a Halloween release will bring in the bucks more rapidly, even if it does mean that the flick will face off against Paranormal Activity 5 in the process. Carrie will no longer release this March, but instead on October 18th.
