Last week, Crystal Dynamics confirmed the development of an online multiplayer component for their upcoming video game project Tomb Raider- now, we've got the first details on the modes you'll be playing. Here's a round-up of what we've discovered on the online multiplayer and just what you can expect from each mode come two months' time...
- TEAM DEATHMATCH: Your standard team-based competitive online mode, this'll see the survivors and scavengers that you meet of the island of the main campaign face off against each other. There'll be traps and platforming elements to this mode to shake things up, though!
- RESCUE: A little more on the different side, 'Rescue' focuses on players trying to get ahold of med packs and get them to destinations, while the scavengers try to pick their foes off. It's an interesting twist on the standard 'Capture The Flag' formula.
- CRY FOR HELP: We don't know much about this mode yet, but rumour has it that it'll be the most focused on platform discoveries and collection.
Tomb Raider is nearly here now, set for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 5th.
