February is kicking off in full with a bang now, as many of our favourite TV shows are back, plus more films and video games (amongst other exciting events) are coming our way in the next three weeks. The first full week of the month brings with it a few such big entertainment releases- here's our full guide to all of the new outings you'll want to mark in your diaries...
HALO 4: SPARTAN OPS EPISODE 8- We'll see the continuing story of the Spartan IVs build towards its climax, as Spartan Ops is just two episodes away now from its season finale. Team Majestic have regrouped, but as the Prometheans rally their efforts into an all-out retaliation, can the Spartans on Requiem make it off the planet arrive, especially with Doctor Halsey intact? (Monday 4th)
ARROW: VERTIGO- Last week on Arrow, we saw Thea manipulated by a strange drug and placed on trial for her driving under its influence. Now, the Hood must chase the 'Count' who manufactures the Vertigo toxin, saving his sister's life while he's at it and ultimately beginning to discover more of the deadly secrets that surround the Queen legacy...(Monday 4th)
GAME OF THRONES: WHAT IS DEAD MAY NEVER DIE- Sky Atlantic's Season Two re-run of Game Of Thrones reaches its third instalment, focusing on the plight of the Knight's Watch in the North as Wildlings mount a deadly scheme of kidnapping and corruption in the woods. This time, it's up to Jon Snow to discover the darkest treachery of the realm, and unmask its true nature and consequence in Westeros before it's too late! (Monday 4th)
DEREK EPISODE 2- Ricky Gervais' comedy-drama reaches its first truly emotional moment, when Derek (Gervais) has his 50th birthday party to look forward to. Suffering with autism, Derek does not know what he's missed out on in life so far, but this bittersweet series event promises to bring all of the lost moments hurtling back with a startling speed, as the first season continues on Channel 4. (Wednesday 6th)
DEAD SPACE 3- EA's hit horror science-fiction video games franchise is back this week with Dead Space 3, the final instalment in the blockbuster trilogy of incredible horror titles. Forced onto a deadly planet filled with secrets, Isaac must now work alongside Captain John Carver to save the galaxy once again, but are the stakes just too much for them to handle? (Friday 8th)
WRECK-IT RALPH- Soon, we'll have the definitive answer to that ever-elusive question: can Disney do another Toy Story 3? Wreck-It Ralph looks like the studio's best offering in a long time, featuring countless fan-pleasing allusions to iconic video games as well as an all-star cast including Sarah Silverman and Jane Lynch, all of whom get their time to shine! (Friday 8th)
GLEE: GLEASE- If it hasn't been obvious these past few seasons, then this week's Glee will prove that the show does its West End antics perfectly. Glease lets the music take centre-stage, as preparations for the McKinley High show reach their epicentre and tensions rise to meet the challenge. Can the New Directions pull together once again despite their uncertainties for the ultimate performance send-off? (Sunday 10th)
BAFTA FILM AWARDS 2013- The first big Movie Awards ceremony of 2013 is here, with the British Academy Of Film And Television Awards having now selected their winners list for the best films of the past year (and one month). We know that Lincoln, Les Miserables, Life Of Pi, Skyfall, Avengers Assemble, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and Argo are all in the running, yet who will come on top? The time has come to find out...(Sunday 10th)
BEING HUMAN: STICKS AND ROPE- Fresh off tonight's big season opener, Being Human continues with another hilarious and dark adventure. Hal and Tom compete for Employee Of The Month, with the villainous Captain Hatch feeding off their conflict, and Alex begins to discover that she's no longer the only ghost haunting Honalulu Heights. Expect a few interesting plot arc developments in this one! (Sunday 10th)
AND THERE'S MORE- The author of this month's Doctor Who 50th Anniversary eBook short story featuring the Second Doctor will be revealed on Tuesday and Taken 2, Anna Karenina and Hotel Transylvania all arrive on DVD and Blu-Ray this Monday.
ON THE BLOG- We'll have reviews of big new releases including Hitman HD Trilogy, Zero Dark Thirty, Glee: The Break-Up, Being Human's season premiere, the new Arrow and Game Of Thrones, and a tonne of coverage of the BAFTAs, the PlayStation 4 gathering news and much, much more in the seven days we have ahead of us.
