2010 In TV- Spring
There certainly wasn't a lot on British television after the Christmas drought of repeats: Wild at Heart returned yet again to iTV with another lacklustre run of 10 episodes in the plains of Africa, while the Channel 4 Comedy Gala marked an impressively hilarious stint for charity with comedians like Michael McIntyre and Catherine Tate pitching in. Justin Lee Collins attempted valiantly to make his mark on the world of UK TV with Good Times, a comedy chat show co-starring the likes of Sharon Osbourne and James Corden, but the Channel 5 programme never got substantial viewing ratings so was promptly cancelled. Doctor Who made its return to BBC One in April with 60-minute première The Eleventh Hour as Matt Smith proved his worth as the Time Lord, and Andrew Lloyd Webber went on the lookout for a Dorothy in his West End show Over The Rainbow (an advertisement banner for which managed to even find itself onto screens as the first of a Who two-parter climaxed- much to the discontent of fans). Come back tomorrow to reminisce at Summer's television!
