You won't be plundering those new tombs this year.
Upcoming action-adventure video game Tomb Raider has been delayed, its publisher Square Enix has confirmed. The development team at Crystal Dynamics say that this short setback will allow them to make this exciting project "the best game of their careers", "something they would be proud to be a part of". Quite frankly, given the little we've seen of the game since E3 2011's alleged Fall 2012 release date confirmation and the first demo, this announcement hardly comes as a surprise. That said, it does inevitably mean we're losing one of the Autumn Of Gaming 2012's most exciting big releases, as we did with Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier last year. Tomb Raider will now retail for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 in Q1 2013.
