Sony Pictures have today confirmed that a sequel to 2010's best-selling comedy movie Grown-Ups will release next year. No details on the plot or cast were announced, but it is expected that Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spare and Ron Schneider will all reprise their roles in the new flick, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see it take place in a vastly different set of locations to those featured in the original given the trend set by the likes of The Hangover: Part II and the Scary Movie franchise in recent years. I was a big fan of the first film, but critics didn't agree, giving it an average review score of just 3/10 admist a raging summer line-up, so it looks like this time the odds are stacked more against the team behind the original than they were on its filming previously. Grown-Ups 2 will arrive in cinemas on July 12th, 2013.
