Witness the first steps towards the Birds of Prey on a new episode of Arrow this Spring...Executive producer Marc Guggenheim has this week confirmed the return of a former Arrow guest star on The CW's superhero drama in the near future. The series is currently on a mid-season hiatus here in the UK, and is set to return to Sky1 for a new run of episodes next month.
Fans' ears will most likely prick up from the moment that they hear that Jessica de Geouw will reprise her role as the Huntress in Season Two's seventeenth instalment. More intriguingly still, the episode in question is titled Birds of Prey, a phrase which in the DC comic-book universe refers to a team of elite superheroines who are hell-bent on matching the Justice League's famed efforts. The original Birds line-up comprised the Huntress, Black Canary (played by Caty Loitz and set to return in this very storyline) and Oracle- better known to Batman diehards as Barbara Gordon, daughter to Commissioner Jim- although what with Gotham currently in the works over at Fox, we wouldn't be surprised if a different female vigilante rounds off the beloved trio in the increasingly ambitious Arrow universe!
Arrow returns to Sky1 with its mid-season premiere, Blast Radius, on February 20th.
