Frozen: Sing-Along Edition UK Re-Release Announced

Disney are still curious whether viewers want to build a snowman in 2014...
Walt Disney Pictures have today announced a UK re-release of their 2013 animated film Frozen. A standalone feature from Walt Disney Animation Studios, this seasonal comedy-drama surpassed all of our expectations last month, earning a rare 5* score here, and analysts are now predicting that it will amass over $1 billion in box office revenue soon enough.

With that lofty milestone in sight, then, Disney's reasoning for bringing back their most successful contribution to the animated genre since Toy Story 3 is as clear as a crystal of ice. Universal Pictures did much the same with Mamma Mia in 2008, launching a Sing Along Edition of the star-studded live-action musical just a few short weeks after its original release, and it paid strong dividends in bringing that particular motion picture close to the success of The Dark Knight (released in the same Summer of Film). Admittedly, Frozen's song roster does diminish slightly in its final act, but the strength of its early tracks will doubtless be more than enough to bring viewers back to their local auditoriums for one more chance to experience Let It Go, In Summer and the like next month.

Frozen: Sing Along Edition will chill UK cinemas nationwide on February 7th.
