Toy Story Is Back

If Toy Story 3 wasn't enough to close the film franchise (I certainly thought it was, giving it a sensational 5/5 and rating it as my Best Film Of 2010!), then fans can get some more toy-riffic action in a brand new short set to début in cinemas when you attend a screening of Cars 2 (Disney shorts tend to be after trailers, so just before the full-length film starts). The story goes that when Barbie and Ken fail to reach Molly before she goes on a beach holiday, the rest of the gang decide to throw them their own romantic honeymoon in the toy box. The short is directed by Gary Rydstorm, and will have a running time. Even though TS3 was meant to close off all plot arcs last year (and did), it's good to hear that the short will advance the story forward from Andy giving Molly his toys in the moving climax. Cars 2 races into the UK on July 22nd, and at least now you have a reason to see it!
