Jennifer Lawrence won't be holding back either of her two anticipated sequels!
It's funny how much some problems can change in the space of just one day within the entertainment industry. Not twenty four hours ago, it seemed as if filming of the sequel to this March's hit fantasy film The Hunger Games, Catching Fire would have to be delayed so as to allow for Jennifer Lawrence to shoot a sequel to X-Men: First Class, meaning that the former successor would have to be delayed to a 2014 release date. However, it's now been confirmed by 20th Century Fox and Deadline that the second film in the First Class series of prequels will commence shooting in January 2013, giving Lawrence the time she'll need to film Catching Fire later this year. As far as industry insiders can tell, Gary Ross has departed the Hunger Games series as director due to financial engagements, so Lionsgate will need to recruit a new director for their highly anticipated sequel to what has already become one of 2012's best-selling movies quite quickly if they want to get started as soon as they need to do so. Provided all of that team shifting goes fine, though, we should still see The Hunger Games: Catching Fire make its November 16th, 2013 release window and X-Men: Second Class (don't worry, I really don't think we'll see a dip in quality there, just a bit of jest!) reach us either at the end of next year or in early 2014.
