Sonic's solo adventure for 2012 reaches us next month.
What with all the promotion surrounding anniversary celebration title Sonic Generations last Autumn, SEGA have let some of the hype surrounding their Sonic franchise die down a little this year. Unless the recently announced addition to the Wii (and WiiU) exclusive Storybook franchise started with Sonic And The Secret Rings in 2007 arrives on our shores before year's end, it's looking as if the downloadable sequel Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II will be our only dose of the iconic blue hedgehog in 2012. Worse things could happen, though: the game is looking pretty solid so far, adding Tails back into the 2D side-scrolling equation and refining some of the weaker physics and graphical flaws posed by Episode I. Today, SEGA have confirmed that Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode II will retail on the Xbox Live Network on May 15th and on the PlayStation Network on May 16th. Look out for a full review of the game right here on the blog next month.
