Now, it's probably best to take this report with a pinch of salt, but if it turns out to be true (which is quite likely), it'll be one heck of an early Christmas present. Screen Rant are reporting that Bryan Q Miller, writer and editor of the CW series Smallville, will be continuing the storyline of the show in a series of new novels next year. Following the adventures of a young Clark Kent, the drama chronicled his days in Smallville and Metropolis and his rise to become the Superman fans know and love, and it ran for ten seasons before reaching its Finale earlier this year. Miller is apparently set to focus on resolving some of the continuity questions that arose from the final episode- what became of Chloe and Oliver's relationship, and how did Lex Luthor become President, for example?- as well as providing a further look at how the show's version of the famous comic book hero emerged to become the same man as Christopher Reeve portrayed twenty years ago and Henry Cavill will play in the Man Of Steel reboot in 2013. For fans of the show, this should be an exciting prospect, and I for one cannot wait to see what becomes of the new 'series'!
