I won't lie to you- this week is a pretty quiet one in the world of entertainment. You could well call it the calm before the Christmas storm, but at least there are a few new releases to keep us occupied a while longer...
NEW MOVIES- The Shrek franchise returns with a hilarious spin-off, Puss In Boots, on Friday, while the makers of Valentine's Day bring us a great new ensemble comedy in New Year's Eve- starring Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Zac Efron and many more stars- on Thursday.
NEW GAMES- Missed out on Just Dance 3? Now you can get it on PS3! Yep, it's a sad time when that's literally the only perk the games industry has to offer us...
NEW DVDS- Brilliant daredevil comedy The Hangover: Part II, the impressive World War Two superhero romp Captain America: The First Avenger, the decidedly average animation The Smurfs and fan-pleasing live gig Glee: The 3D Concert Movie are on their way to stores this week, so check 'em out if you missed them in the epic Summer of Film.
NEW SHOWS- Jake finds Charlie's killer vacationing in Two And A Half Men: What A Lovely Landing Strip, the New Directions return to Sectionals for the third time in Glee: Hold On To Sixteen, Princeton Placebo gets an intriguing addition to its patient roster in House: Better Half, and Morgana sets in motion a terrifying invasion of Camelot in the first episode of Merlin's thrilling three-part finale, The Hunter's Heart!
