VGAs 2011: The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer Debuted

Another big world exclusive at last night's Spike Video Game Awards 2011 was the first reveal of Beenox's upcoming movie-to-game adaptation The Amazing Spider-Man. The game will be an open world action-adventure title taking place after the events of the upcoming film reboot, focusing on Spider-Man's first battles against the evil Oscorp Corporation, who have unleashed killer spider robots on New York. Yes, the graphics aren't what you'd call amazing, but if they can be brought up to scratch by the game's release date and the story can be made into something worthwhile rather than an episodic expansion to the movie, then we could be looking at the first truly great movie video game in a long time. Keep an eye on this one...The Amazing Spider-Man releases in cinemas on July 3rd, 2012, so expect the game at around the same time.
