Coming Up This Week: April 8th-14th

Bilbo Baggins returns on DVD and Blu-Ray, the Ice Warriors are back in Doctor Who, plus get ready for hilarious Scares!
Typically for the Easter Holidays, we've got a brilliant second week of entertainment for April to come in the next seven days. Whether you're a fan of telly, films or novels, there's definitely releases to cater for every different kind of taste on show here. Here's our guide to the hottest releases coming your way:
THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY DVD & BLU RAY- Anyone who caught the first part of The Hobbit in cinemas last December will be able to tell you multitudes of reasons why you should scoop up the DVD and Blu-Ray copies tomorrow, especially if you missed it first time around. There's action, comedy, thrills and chills to be had throughout in the breakthtaking opening instalment of Peter Jackson's prequel trilogy! (Monday 8th)
ARROW: UNFINISHED BUSINESS- Things are heating up big time for the Green Arrow as the sinister Plan nears completion in the Glades. Before that, though, there's another pressing issue to deal with- the Count has resurfaced, with Vertigo on his mind and on the minds of his unlucky new victims. Can the Hood put a stop to his foe once and for all? (Monday 8th)
GAME OF THRONES: DARK WINGS, DARK WORDS- After last week's thrilling season premiere, we're back into investigating the various stories of Westeros in this third season of the HBO hit. Game Of Thrones' cast this week includes Arya, Jaime and Shae, all of whom have come on quite a bit since we last saw them in Season Two...(Monday 8th)
DOCTOR WHO: ELEVENTH DOCTOR ADVENTURES- Three new novels from BBC Books featuring Doctor Who's Eleventh Doctor are headed into stores this week. There's The Dalek Generation, focusing on a world where it seems as if the Daleks are a source of charity; Plague Of The Cybermen, where the Doctor must stop undead Cybermen from destroying the Earth; and Shroud Of Sorrow, where the Doctor and Clara must overcome their sorrow at the JFK assassination of 1963 to stop a mysterious new menace feeding on the grief of a thousand souls. (Thursday 11th)
SCARY MOVIE 5- It's fairly safe to say that Dimension Films' Movie parodies have always been Marmite experiences. Scary Movie 5 treads the same dangerous territory, but with hilarious homages to Black Swan, The Cabin In The Woods, Mama, Paranormal Activity, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes and more, this could still be one to remember! (Friday 12th)
DOCTOR WHO: COLD WAR- The Ice Warriorsssssss are back! Get ready for a ssssssuperb submarine Doctor Who thriler from the mind of Mark Gatissssss that ressurects one of the show's classic villains for a claustrophobic Cold War 1983 adventure under the seas. Game Of Thrones' Liam Cunningham and David Warner guest star in what could be an adventure for the agesss....(Saturday 13th)
BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT RETURNS- Yes, it's back. David Walliams, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden are all on board for hilarious new auditions and live shows in one of Britain's most popular 'talent' shows. Sure, Britain's Got Talent isn't for everyone, but it's at least got enough laughter mileage in its audition stages to warrant an initial return. (Saturday 13th)
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE TEASER TRAILER- The MTV Movie Awards are always interesting, but undoubtedly the best thing to come out of them has to be the movie previews. This year there aren't so many of those, with one exciting exception- we'll get our very first video glimpse of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire before week's end! (Sunday 14th)
AND THERE'S MORE- The Village continues its run on BBC1 this Sunday, along with Two & A Half Men tomorrow and Glee on Sunday too. Oblivion hits cinemas too, boasting Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman in big roles. There's no big game releases this week, but we may hear when the Xbox reveal event will be- also, why not try out BioShock Infinite meanwhile? Our review is still to come, but you won't regret it...
AND NEXT WEEK...DC heroes come to brawl it out in NeatherRealm Studios' big new game Injustice: Gods Among Us, Neil Cross returns for another chilling sci-fi outing in Doctor Who: Hide and Danerys gains power that she could never have dreamt of in Game Of Thrones: Walk Of Punishment!
