UNIT's new scientific advisor and captain is back on the scene!
The BBC have today announced another returning actress who will resume her role as a past character in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special. It has been confirmed that Jemma Redgrave will return as UNIT's new leader and scientific advisor Kate Stewart in the latest adventure. Jemma first appeared as Kate in 2012's The Power Of Three, where she was revealed to be the daughter of Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart (played by the late Nicholas Courtney), making her a perfect candidate to represent UNIT in this spectacular episode of nostalgia and building of new story arcs. She joins an all-star cast of stars new and old to Who, already confirmed to include Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman, David Tennant, Billie Piper, John Hurt, Joanna Page and even classic enemies the Zygons. We'll have more to reveal on the special in the days ahead...Doctor Who continues this Saturday with Cold War on BBC1 at 6pm, with the 50th Anniversary Special due to air on November 23rd.
