The question is whether Lucas and co will mess with the movies like they did Star Wars...
The news that everyone has been waiting for has finally been revealed- the four Indiana Jones movies will be released on Blu-Ray this Autumn in a budget collection. "The man with the hat is back," Paramount said in their press release for the reveal, "and looking better than ever! The world's favourite globe-trotting archeologist is, at long last, embarking on his greatest adventure- when The Complete Indiana Jones Blu-Ray collection comes to disc from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Paramount Home Media Distribution. They will be excavated in the fall of 2012 and will include all four of Indy's thrilling adventures, using the high definition picture and audio presentation- along with a "best of" collection of documentaries, interviews, featurettes and a few new surprises." It'll be intriguing to see whether the new surprises impress, and indeed whether George Lucas tampers with much loved moments from the flicks like he did with the Star Wars Blu-Ray (see: "Noooooo!")...
