But there's still a good while until we see if it's a true Superman movie!
DC are predictably taking things pretty slow with regards to their Superman movie franchise reboot that's on its way next Summer. Titled Man Of Steel, the flick will focus on the titular hero's origins in Smallville and his subsequent rise to the skies as he faces off against the evil Zod and his Dark Krypton allies. Here's the first full synopsis for the movie..."Superman takes to the skies once more as acclaimed actor Henry Cavill dons the suit, cape and S-shield of the MAN OF STEEL. With an all-star cast that includes Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as John and Martha Kent, Clark's earthbound parents; Russell Crowe as Superman's Kryptonian father Jor-El; Amy Adams as intrepid Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane; Laurence Fishbourne as editor Perry White and Michael Shannon as Superman's otherworldly archenemy General Zod, populations from Smallville to Metropolis are psyched for Superman. With the directorial stylings of 300's Zack Snyder and the superheroic production team behind Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, the sky's the limit for the last son of Krypton." Those more perceptive among you will notice that the summary actually tells us very little about the film's plot, but it's still reassuring to see DC Studios wants their new project to remain in our minds until its release next June 23rd.
