Is it June 1st yet? Ah well, worth a shot.
The anticipation for Ridley Scott's Alien prequel Prometheus is slowly and steadily building to its peak, as the ties to his 1979 classic begin to become more apparent and fans begin to speculate on whether it will link directly to the events of the original. 20th Century Fox have made two exciting promises to us regarding the movie this week: the first is that we'll see it in IMAX 3D across Britain cinemas, allowing fans to watch it on some of the biggest cinema screens in the country with a breathtaking multi-dimensional take on it all, and the second announcement is that a brand new trailer for the movie will be debuted by Scott at a convention on Saturday, March 17th, and the trail will go up on the web later that day. I would say that it's the latter news that's the most exciting, seeing as it means we're getting new footage from one of the most talked-about movies of the Summer, but it'll be good to see how well things go in the IMAX department too. Prometheus lands on June 1st.
