A new spin-off franchise to the 360 exclusive racers is coming...It could well be said that the Forza series is on a high right now- Forza Motorsport 4 (9.5/10) was video game racing at its most intense and absolute best- but that claim makes things difficult for Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios, as they have to start mixing up their strategy to keep the franchise innovating. Enter Brit studio Playground Games, a new team featuring the guys who worked on Colin McRae, DIRT, GRID and Toca, who are going to bring us the new open-world spin-off Forza: Horizon this Autumn. Apparently a "fast-paced, pick-up-and-play racing game", Horizon will act as a secondary title that if it's successful could well make Forza into an alternating annual franchise like Call Of Duty. Very few details on the game were revealed with its announcement at the Microsoft Spring Showcase, but we're promised much more will revealed on the road to E3 and as we near closer to Forza: Horizon's release this Autumn.
